 	<title>Mutual Aid Building Fire</title>

Around 10am on Tuesday the Carman Fire Department was
dispatched to 2807 Guilderland Avenue, 4 Corners Pizzeria, for Mutual Aid with
District #2. Rescue 134 and Car 138 responded within minuets of the call, and
set up rehab for the scene. As the fire progressed multiple other mutual aid
companies were summoned to the scene, after 30 minuets of Rescue 134 being on
scene command requested Truck 132 to the scene as well.&nbsp; Truck 132 responded and set up on the A
D corner of the building and provided an aerial master steam. Due to the high
temperatures and humidity, Carman Volunteers switched out crews throughout the
fire multiple times. Due to multiple crews from Carman on scene as well as the
duration of the call, Stanford Heights Engine 433 was requested to standby at
the Carmanâs Station, shortly after they arrived, there were also requested to
scene of the fire by command. Once Engine 433 cleared the scene, they returned
to Carmanâs Station and helped with putting Truck 132 and Rescue 134 back in
service. Carman units cleared the scene round 6pm, a special thanks to the crew
of Engine 433.&nbsp;

 	<title>Busy Day for Carman</title>

On Wednesday July 7th, the Carman Fire
Department started the day early; at 8:19 the Carman was dispatched to 235
McClellan St in the City of Schenectady to assist on a working house fire.&nbsp;Due
to Rescue 134 being out of service, Utility 136 responded to the call. SFD was
working a house fire with a possible fatality, the crew of 136 set up a rehab
area. Temperatures on Wednesday hit the high 90âs in the capital region, and
chances of firefighter heat exhaustion were high. Carman cleared the scene
within 3 hours.
At 13:10 Carman was dispatched for mutual aid to a car on fire at the Stewarts
on Altamont Ave in District 2 first due area. Engine 133 responded minuets
after the call, upon arrival the fire was extinguished by District 2 however
the crew from Engine 133 assisted in overhaul.
At 15:20 Carman was dispatched for mutual aid to Albany County to the
Guilderland Service Plaza on the NYS Thruway for a Fire Alarm. Truck 132
responded soon there after, once the source of the fire alarm was determined to
be false, units cleared within 30 minuets.
While Truck 132 was returning to the station from the mutual aid call, Carman
was dispatched for a EMS assist at 928 Kings Rd for a person with their hand
stuck. Truck 132 responded and arrived to find EMS on scene with a victimâs
hand stuck in a bike chain. &nbsp;The crew
from the Truck utilized bolt cutters to free the victimâs hand and returned to
service within minuets of arriving on scene.
To end the day out, at 19:57 Carman was dispatched to the intersection of Peter
Rd and Angelina Rd for transformer leaking oil, Engine 135 responded to the
call. Crews arrived to find a transformer leaking oil, and notified National
Grid to the scene to make the necessary repairs. Power was down in the area for
few hours while National Grid crews worked on repairing the leak....]]>

On Friday July 2nd, the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to 2515 3rd Ave for a Tree on fire. &nbsp;Assistant Chief Vunk along with Assistant Chief Sloan arrived to find a tree smoldering. Engine 135 responded with 4 volunteers and arrived soon after that. A booster line was pulled to extinguish the fire, and units returned in service within 30 min. &nbsp;

 	<title>Mutual Aid to the South Side</title>

 <![CDATA[On Friday May 21st, the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to 2699 Broadway for mutual aid dumpster fire. Engine 131 responded within minuets of the call, while en route the call was upgraded to a building fire. Upon arrival Engine 131&amp;rsquo;s crew was sent into the A side of the structure to protect the exposure in the front. The fire had gone from the dumpster to the attic of the storage warehouse in the rear of the property. Once the fire had spread over the entire attic, crews went into an exterior attack, by this time Rescue 134 was also dispatched to the scene for rehab support. Crews ended up containing the fire to the rear warehouse, and successfully stopping the spread into the front commercial exposure. Crews remained on scene for roughly 5 hours.&nbsp;&nbsp;...]]>
