Today a crew from the Carman Fire Department went down to Schoharie
County to assist the Schoharie Fire Department in cleaning up their
station from the devastation Hurricane Irene brought. Reports have it
that approximately 8 feet of muddy water were in the fire house at one
time and most of their fundraising equipment, records, and
gear/equipment were completely destroyed.
The crew took Utility 136 down with a generator and a few other tools.
They are assisting by tearing down dry wall, removing insulation,
power washing walls, picking up debris, and removing mud.
