JUNE 11 - At 03:18 am on June 9th the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 115 Mercer Ave in the Town of Rotterdam. Upon arrival crews found a large amount of fire and smoke in the front downstairs bedroom as well as receiving reports of a victim inside. Cooking to Blame for Apartment building Fire 4/20/08

APRIL 20 - On Sunday April 20th at 9:57pm Carman Fire Department received a call for a possible structure fire on Highbridge Road. Upon arrival 2nd Assistant Chief Vunk found the rear upstairs porch of a 2 story apartment building well involved. He declared a working structure fire and called for a 2nd alarm.

Blaze Damages Home

MARCH 24 - Members of the Carman Fire Department made quick work of a house fire on Saturday, March 22, 2008 on Sherman Street in the Highbridge Section of Rotterdam. The fire, which was reported a few minutes before 4:00 PM, had burned in the cellar of the home and spread into a room converted from a garage. Heavy Rains Keep Crew Busy

MARCH 07 - On Wednesday March 5, 2008 the Carman Fire Department was kept busy handling several water emergencies within the district. The initial call came in at 8:53 am for approximately 4 feet of water in a basement on Palmer St. in the Highbridge section of the district. DECEMBER 06 - On Thursday December 6th 2007 Carman received a call for a possible electrical fire at 2032 Chepstow Rd. Upon arrival of Car 139 (Chief Sloan) he reported smoke visible from the front door. Upon the arrival of E-131 entry was made into the residence through the front door. DECEMBER 03 - On Monday December 3rd 2007 at 1729 Carman Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire next door to 1739 Patton Dr. Dispatcher reported getting multiple calls. 11/9/07 Reported Gasoline Spill

NOVEMBER 10 - On Friday morning November 9th at 05:56 hours the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to the Gas & Deli on Hamburg St next to the firehouse for a reported leak from an underground fuel storage tank.
