Santa Comes to Carman!!! DECEMBER 20 - On Sunday afternoon, volunteers of the Carman Fire Department took to the streets in order to help Santa Claus pre plan his route through the Carman District. Vehicle Fire on 4th Ave DECEMBER 12 - At 1:21pm the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to the 2500 block of 4th Ave for a working vehicle fire with possible exposure to a structure. Carman Chief Vunk arrived to find a fully involved pick up truck on fire, shortly there after Engine 131 with 5 volunteers arrived and stretched a 1 ¾ hand line and began suppressing the fire. Fire Damages Coldbrook Home SEPTEMBER 30 - At 20:04 Carman FD was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1029 Horvath St. First arriving units encountered a moderate smoke condition within the residence. The initial crew located the fire in an overhead kitchen cabinet, and quickly extinguished the fire. Damage was confined to the kitchen area with some smoke damage throughout the residence. Firefighters Rescue Woman JUNE 11 - At 03:18 am on June 9th the Carman Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 115 Mercer Ave in the Town of Rotterdam. Cooking to Blame for Apartment building Fire 4/20/08 APRIL 20 - On Sunday April 20th at 9:57pm Carman Fire Department received a call for a possible structure fire on Highbridge Road.
